Within the context of the official cooperation agreement between the French Republic’s Ministry for Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and Land Settlement (MEEDDAT) and the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Environment, Housing and Land Settlement and Ministry of Communication, China Europa 2009 is fully supporting this momentum of exchange on a sustainable development theme by integrating the official calendar of the agreement.

The 1st China Europa
short film competition 2009

The third edition of the Sino-European event will mark the launch of the 1st China Europa short film competition. Open to Chinese and European schools of art, audiovisuals and cinema, the competition will be echoing the theme of the event: Sustainable Urban Development.

This event will give 6 schools the opportunity of presenting their work to a jury made of film and audiovisual professionals, as well as town planners, architects and partners of the convention.

Selected films will also be available online on this website. Internet users may vote for their favourite film. The film with the most supporting votes will be awarded the Net Surfers’ Prize.

During the award ceremony, the winner will receive the China Europa 2009 1st Prize. Jury’s Special Prize and Net Surfer’s Prize will also be awarded on that occasion.
