<p>
The French Company for the Shanghai Expo (COFRES) has confirmed it will attend China Europa 2009.
<br /> <br />
In charge of French participation at the Shanghai Universal Expo 2010, whose theme, focussing on Sustainable Urban Development issues, will be “A better life, a better city”, the COFRES is project-managing the French Pavilion that intends to be a symbolic, innovative building. Through its shape as much as through its materials and contents, it will reflect France’s dynamic approach as well as its lifestyle.
<br /> <br />
In that respect and in keeping with the core theme of Shanghai 2010, it will stand as a tangible demonstration of the country’s innovative abilities in terms of sustainable development and cultural influence.
<br /> <br />
Shanghai 2010’s ambition is to be a model of a “harmonious city”, symbolising “the harmony between Man and Nature”, “the harmony between past and future” and “the harmony between men”.
<br /> <br />
In addition to introducing the French Pavilion, the COFRES will be organising a conference, which its architect Jacques Ferrier, in particular, will attend.
